When is the WISE Program?
- The summer WISE programs will run weekdays beginning Monday through Friday for two weeks. Tentatively, there will be two WISE sessions: June-24 WISE (6/20/24-7/3/24) and July-24 WISE- (7/29/24-8/9/24) and will meet 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.
- Note: These are non-residential programs. No housing for students will be available.
- The summer vWISE program will run weekdays beginning Monday through Friday for two weeks. Tentatively, there will be one WISE session: Aug-23 WISE (8/12/24-8/23/24) and will meet from 9:00-10:30 AM and 1:00-2:30 PM, EDT.
- Students are expected to attend and participate fully each day of the session.
- In between the on-line sessions, students are expected to go over the material through online videos and lecture notes, followed by a series of quizzes and bioinformatic assignments.
Students will need a good internet connection and be able to run Firefox or Safari on a PC or Mac. Chromebooks and Chrome are not compatible with the DNA sequence analysis programs that students will need to use to perform their analyses on the DNA sequences.
